WIRED MICROPHONE CLINIC
This month I'll try and fill you in on wired microphones. First off, let's go over some terms you should know:
Dynamic Microphone - Microphones like the Sure SM58 and Peavey PV22's. These mics are most commonly used for close up vocal miking in bands. They are not powerful so they are a natural choice because they won't pick up your loud guitar player's ambient amp sound or the drummers' drum kit. They don't require phantom power, they're very durable and sound pretty natural, and are usually around $100 or so..........

What it's like playing in a family blues band

Ignoring the shortcomings of the poor town we were surrounded by, we made do. The big city "Kansas City"- way off in the northern distance of 71 Highway, we lived quiet lives staying in the country with babysitters while our parents went to the big city to play shows at night with their bands..........

ALBERT CASTIGLIA
A STONE'S THROW
BY PETER "BLEWZZMAN" LAURO

What an absolute pleasure it is for me to be reviewing this CD. After reviewing products from so many unknown bands, in so many different cities, states and countries, I am really looking forward to writing about a performer that is a South Florida local and, in addition to having seen about one hundred times, is a very dear friend - MR. ALBERT CASTIGLIA........

Delta Blues
The Delta Blues style comes from a region in the Southern part of Mississippi, a place romantically referred to as "the land where the blues were born." In its earliest form, the style became the first African American guitar-dominated music to make it onto phonograph records back in the late 1920s..........
